HPD: Man waiting for video game sale fatally shoots masked, armed man
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police say a man with a concealed handgun license fatally shot a masked, armed man who approached him in a parking lot.
Officers responded to a report of a shooting at an apartment complex off of Greens Parkway around 10 p.m. Tuesday and found a person deceased.
Investigators learned that a man was waiting in the parking lot for someone who was going to conduct the transaction of a video game when he was approached by an masked man with a rifle. Police say the man waiting in the parking lot had a concealed handgun license, and thinking he was going to be robbed, discharged some rounds at the armed suspect.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. The man with the concealed handgun license stayed at the scene.
Police did not say whether the man with the concealed handgun license was buying or selling the video game.
Homicide investigators will conduct a follow up investigation and then contact the district attorney to see how they want to proceed.
