Houston road rage chase extends into Galveston County

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - What police describe as a road rage incident that started in southeast Houston ended with a driver grazed by a bullet and a highway chase that ended in Galveston County.

The initial road rage incident was reported on Beltway 8 near the Gulf Freeway. After a Chevrolet Malibu driver was grazed by the bullet, that driver chased after the shooter who was driving a Chevrolet Camaro. The grazed driver, who spoke with Houston police throughout the chase, later arrived to the UTMB Health Galveston Campus emergency room and was released.

Houston police is conducting an investigation at the hospital. The suspect is not in Galveston nor Houston police custody.
