Houston I.S.D. to rename 3 more schools

HOUSTON (FOX26) - Houston  I.S.D .trustees have voted to rename three more schools.

They are Johnston and Lanier middle schools and Jefferson Davis high school.

All of these schools were named after Confederate figures.

Last month,  H.I.S.D. approved the renaming of four other schools.

The district is also considering renaming Reagan high school.

Last night, was also the final school board meeting for superintendent, Dr. Terry Grier, who leaves in a few weeks.
