Houston artist partners with local church to provide hope after Harvey

Dorian Paul is a native Houstonian and a former member of the Charlie Wilson and the Gap Band.

Paul says he was visiting Houston when rising flood waters from Hurricane Harvey, trapped him inside his hotel room for several days.

During that time he was inspired to write his new song "I Believe".

The song is used to give hope to those impacted by the storm.

He along with William Burnell of the 5th Avenue Entertainment Group have teamed up with the Lighthouse Church to help those recovering from Harvey.

So far the group has donated thousands of dollars to local families in need and looking to move their efforts to Florida and Puerto Rico to help those impacted by hurricanes Maria and Irma.

The song is available for purchase on http://www.ibelieverelief.com/

All proceeds will go towards a Hurricane Harvey relief fund.
