Harris County crime: Mother charged with endangering two children while intoxicated, officials say
HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - One mother is facing charges after endangering her two children on Tuesday, authorities said.

What we know:
Officials were called out to the 12000 block of Veterans Memorial Drive early Tuesday morning following a 911 call.
Authorities said the caller stated an adult female, later identified as 30-year-old Ayana McClinton, and two infants were laying on the sidewalk in front of a business.

It was later determined by authorities that the infants were two months old and 1-year-old in age.
Officials said McClinton was found to be intoxicated and decided to take a nap outside on the ground in 28 degree weather.
An open alcoholic beverage was found nearby McClinton.
Authorities added that McClinton displayed signs consistent with intoxication.
EMS officials were called out to the scene and the two infants, who officials said were suffering from cold related injuries, were taken to the hospital.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted and two charges of endangering a child were accepted.
What we don't know:
It's unclear how long the mother and her infants were outside before authorities were called.
Officials didn't provide an update on the status of the children.
