The search continues for the group of men who shot and killed a Lamar High School student. 18-year-old Delindsey Mack was shot as he waited for a ride just off campus and died at Ben Taub General Hospital.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office is investigating after a man shot and killed his father, who was a former deputy. Michael Merritt tells FOX 26 News that his father, 53-year-old Brian Merritt, was assaulting his mother on Wednesday morning and he had no choice but to shoot him.

A young girl who was struck by a stray bullet is out of the hospital. Six-year-old Claire Tidwell was in the back seat of her father's car in a McDonald's drive-thru when a security guard fired at a robbery suspect nearby, and one of the bullets hit Claire in the leg.

Houston firefighters appear willing to postpone some of their voter-approved pay hike to save city jobs.
