A man accused of beating an 83-year-old grandfather to death in Pasadena earlier in August is now behind bars. 23-year-old Silvano Dejesus Echavarria is charged with capital murder.

Goose Creek Independent School District is investigating a teacher at an elementary school in Baytown as three female students have accused him of touching them inappropriately. 

Several Houston ISD bus drivers have complained to their union, saying that they are being treated like second class citizens. One said she wasn't allowed in the school to use the bathroom and wet herself.

This Labor Day weekend, it's no refusal for drivers. Harris County deputies, precinct constables and Houston police are cracking down on drunk drivers and the places that over serve them.

A lot of people are heading to Galveston for Labor Day weekend. Although rain is in the forecast, the message on the island is still, 'come on down!"
