18-year-old fatally shot in SW Houston while 'handling' gun with girlfriend
HOUSTON - One person has been pronounced dead after a shooting in southwest Houston on Wednesday morning.

Houston police officers responded to a residence on Fondren Road just south of Harwin Drive for a shooting.
According to initial reports, one person was found shot at the location, and they were taken to an area hospital where they later died. One woman was detained, police say.
In an update, police say the victim was an 18-year-old male who was shot while "handling a firearm" with his girlfriend.
The Harris County District Attorney's Office was contacted, and the case is now going to a grand jury.
