Employers becoming more lenient with drug testing, background checks

More and more companies are relaxing their hiring requirements, like drug testing, background checks and the amount of experience and education wanted.

A recruitment and staffing firm says nearly 40 percent of employers say they have loosened job requirements to lure more workers.

Past convictions like drug or alcohol-related offenses and motor vehicle issues are less likely to keep people from being hired.
