Dismembered body found in a trash bag

WALLER COUNTY, Texas (FOX 26) - A gruesome discovery was made in Waller County this afternoon.

FOX 26 News has learned a dismembered body, likely of a male, has been found in a trash bag just under the State Highway 290 bridge near the Washington and Waller county lines.

Our sources say a state trooper found the body at around 4 p.m. Wednesday. This area is near the Brazos River and just west of Hempstead.

We're hoping to get a statement from investigators in the area soon.
