Deputy arrested, relieved of law enforcement duties

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - A 17-year employee with the Harris County Sheriff's Office has been relieved of his law enforcement duties after he was arrested and charged with violation of a protective order, a class B misdemeanor offense.

James Christopher Sam has been demoted to a civilian status position pending the outcome of the case against him.
