Dad fights for son's return

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - It has been a long haul for Houston-based doctor Chris Brann.

It was back in 2013 while he and his then ex-wife Marcelle Guimaraes were going through a divorce that she told him, according to Brann, she was traveling back to her home country of Brazil for a family wedding. But Brann says his ex-wife never returned with their son Nico, a boy who’s now eight years old and who should be under joint custody, according to a Harris County district court. The court also ruled the child should live in Harris County.

Just last week, Marcelle‘s parents arrived in Miami where they were charged by the feds with international kidnapping for allegedly helping their daughter. Marcelle has yet to be charged and federal investigators believe she still remains with the child in Brazil.
