Cross remembers man who died on San Luis Pass

The family of a fisherman killed at the San Luis Pass have placed a cross where he died in the hopes it will remind others to stay away from the dangerous waters.

The family of Jacob Szydlowski say the six-foot cross was made by a family friend and is placed near where the 19-year -ld man was swept under by rough currents while hewas wade fishing with a friend.

Since his death two weeks ago, Brazoria County officials have placed new warning signs near the pass reminding potential swimmers that 10 lives have been lost in those waters since 2013.

Overwhelmed by a flood of financial support, Jacob's family announced they will be donating the funds to Texas Eqqusearch to assist others in finding missing loved ones.
