Texas, are you ready to gamble in Galveston?

A cruise ship called Jacks or Better Casino (JOB) has opened up and is waiting for you gamblers on the Galveston Yacht Basin.

How is this legal?! Well, the ship sails out about 9 miles out into the Gulf to get off of federal waters, so it operates legally in international waters.

Tickets are just $15, and include two free drink tickets and complimentary well drinks and draft beers for gamblers.

JOB offers a full compliment of table games, 200 ticket-in-ticket out slots, and a sports book.

You can enjoy all the classic games -- Blackjack, craps, roulette, Texas Hold’em, baccarat, chuck-a-luck, Shootout Poker, Let it Ride and 3-Card Poker.

Cruises depart twice a day Wednesday through Saturday. The day cruise is at 11 a.m., and the evening cruise is at 6:30 p.m. There is one Sunday cruise that departs at 1 p.m.

Winnings are paid in cash, no prizes or exchanges necessary.

JOB was docked in Aransas Pass for about 18 months but decided to move because of rough seas that limited its sailing schedule.

Galveston is much calmer because the continental shelf is 100’ shallower.
