Caretaker charged for locking 7-year-old child in dog cage

In a shocking case of alleged child abuse, Rose Marie Anderson, 54, faces serious charges after authorities claim she locked a 7-year-old child in a dog cage for hours as a form of punishment.

The charges include unlawful restraint of a child under 17 and injury to a child.

Court documents reveal disturbing details, alleging that Anderson, the child's sole caretaker, restrained the victim with zip ties and duct tape, leaving her without access to basic necessities like food, water, or a bathroom.

The alleged motive for this severe mistreatment was to discipline the child for behavior at school. Anderson faces a $5,000 bond for the unlawful restraint charge and a $10,000 bond for the injury to a child charge. The case is ongoing, with further court proceedings expected.
