Bobcat terrorizes Pearland farm, leaves beloved pony 'clinging to life'
PEARLAND, Texas (FOX 26) - "It's really sneaky. I've seen that cat. I've watched him over there by the ducks, laying right next to them, and not a peep out of them," said Mark Medina, the owner of The Nesting Box Farm of Pearland.
The bobcat has already killed two geese, a turkey, and some roosters. It's obviously a big bobcat.
"I've seen him in the thermal unit and his paw print," Medina said. "But the geese and turkey are good size animals and he was able to get them in his mouth and jump the fence."
The bobcat also attacked and critically injured a beloved pet.
"Tommy boy is a 9-month-old pony and he's clinging to life right now," Medina said.
The farm owner has put out traps hoping to catch the bobcat.
"I'm not going to say this is like losing a child, but I've got to do something," Medina said. "These are my fur and feather babies."
