Beyonce’s mother’s beach house in Galveston foreclosed on, taken by bank

GALVESTON, Texas - After years of back and forth, the City of Galveston is taking action on Beyonce's mom's beach house.

The house, owned by Tina Knowles, was damaged during Hurricane Ike in 2008 and city officials eventually deemed the home a public safety hazard.

On December 6, a notice for demolition of the structure was issued.

Now, we've confirmed the home was foreclosed on.

The house went to auction Tuesday. But no one made a high enough bid, so it was taken by the bank.

Neighbors said they're relieved.
