Bar fight leads to parking lot shooting

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police say a fight that started inside a west Houston bar led to a shooting outside of the building.
Officers arrived to the shopping center parking lot outside of Big John's Ice House on Briar Forest Drive near South Dairy Ashford Road at around 2:30 a.m. Monday. One of the men shot the other, leaving him wounded and in critical condition, although police say that man is expected to survive.
The man who fired the gunshot told police he was defending himself.
Police interviewed witnesses and will refer the case to the Harris County District Attorney's Office.
