Arrest of Baytown murder suspect captured on video

Baytown, TX (FOX 26) - Officers responded to Rosemont Apartments located in the 6000 block of Garth Road for a welfare concern on Tuesday.  Upon arrival they discovered a 54-year-old male occupant had been killed inside his residence. 

Baytown Police detectives later named 28-year-old-Raymond Joseph Riley as a person of interest in this homicide and had reason to believe he was be in possession of the victim's red 2007 Mercedes C230.

{Update} 10/14/2015

The victim's Mercedes was recovered earlier this evening in the Wal-Mart parking lot of located in the 2300 block of S Wayside in Houston.  The Mercedes appeared to have been intentionally set on fire and was extinguished by Houston firefighters.  At approximately midnight, Baytown Special Operations detectives located Raymond Riley at the Houston Inn Suites motel located in the 2200 block of S Wayside Drive in Houston.  Raymond refused to cooperate with detectives or exit his hotel room.  Houston Police SWAT was summoned to the motel and arrested Raymond without incident after a three hour standoff.  Raymond was transported to the Baytown municipal jail where he was booked on a pocket warrant for Murder.
