Annual back-to-school health checkups
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - August means it is time to schedule those back-to-school medical checkup appointments for teens and young children. Doctors can make sure your children are up to date on their immunizations and address any other health matters.
Dr. Michelle Barratt, M.D., M.P.H., explains what health concerns that physicians check for with students before they return to classes in the fall.
Medical concerns for students throughout the school year include the following:
- Lice
- Pink eye
- Food allergies
- Backpack-related injuries
