Accident leaves one dead in Katy area

KATY, TX (FOX 26) - The Fort Bend Sheriff's Office is on the scene of a fatal accident involving multiple vehicles that has left one person dead.

The report came in around 4:30 of an accident at Grand Parkway and Cinco Ranch Blvd., that has now closed all of Grand Parkway northbound.

One of the vehicles involved in the accident includes a convertible. One person has been confirmed dead at the scene.

Traffic is being diverted to Westheimer Rd.

The Department of Public Safety is investigating.
