A Spring Branch ISD school bus catches fire, students safe
A Spring ISD school bus caught fire as it was transporting students Friday afternoon.
The bus was taking students from Westchester Academy for International Studies, a high school, to The Gunthrie Center, a vocational school, when the bus driver heard a pop and smelled smoke.
The driver immediately parked and directed the students to evacuate. All student were safely evacuated, with no injuries, and taken onto a second bus.
The Houston Fire Department was on the scene, that has since been cleared.
The accident is pending investigation.
