4 people hurt after SUV crashes into Hitchcock convenience store
HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Four people are hurt after an SUV crashed into a Hitchcock convenience store.
An elderly man driving his SUV eastbound on state Highway 6 lost control of his vehicle, crashed through a highway sign and into a convenience store Wednesday night.
The crash happened just after 7:00 p.m. at the M&M C-Store at the corner of state Highway 6 and FM 519/Bulldog Lane.
Police said they believe the man suffered some sort of seizure before losing control of his SUV.
Three people inside the store, a store clerk and two customers, were injured police said.
Their injuries were minor, Officer Cathryn Salas said.
The driver didn't have any physical sign of injury, but may have suffered a head injury, Salas said.
The SUV hit with such force that it traveled all the way to the back of the store, taking out several merchandise racks and a Texas lottery kiosk.
