Fight at Humble house party leads to shootout ; 1 killed, 2 injured

The Harris County Sheriff's Office said one person was killed, and two others were injured after a shooting at a large party in the northeastern part of the county early Saturday morning.

What we know:

Deputies responded to the 6600 block of Rubilee Lane near Smith and Old Humble Roads around 2:30 a.m. Saturday.

Arriving deputies found a large party and three gunshot victims. 

One of those victims, later identified as 20-year-old Daniel Rangel, was pronounced dead at the scene. The other two victims, both 19 years old, were taken to an area hospital with injuries not believed to be life-threatening.

According to Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, there were 100 party attendees at the scene ranging from their teens to early 20s. At some point, an altercation broke out and several people started shooting, causing everyone to flee.

What we don't know:

Other than the deceased victim, no one involved has been identified.

The Harris County Sheriff's Office did not say if any arrests have been made.
