3 children found safe after mom's car was stolen with them inside in SW Houston

Three children were discovered safe after their mom's SUV was stolen from a Southwest Houston gas station overnight.

HPD officials say that the mom's black Honda CRV was stolen from the Shell station at 8181 W. Sam Houston Parkway South on Monday night at 2 a.m. Authorities said the mom had left her children ages 8, 7 and 4 in the car while she paid for gas inside the store.

At this point, a male suspect in a gray hoodie jumped into the vehicle and headed north on the Beltway.

The three children were then found safe inside the SUV at approximately a.m. at 10800 Bellaire Boulevard in SW Houston.

The mom was reunited with her kids, and spoke about how happy she was they were found safe.  "My kids were safe and ok, and I wanted to see them ASAP!" Her SUV must now be fingerprinted to track down the suspects.
