2 suspects dead after vehicle crashes and catches fire during police chase

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Two suspects are dead following a high speed police chase overnight just north of Downtown.  It happened around 2 a.m on Sunday.  

Police say the driver was traveling 100 miles per hour down the feeder road of the North Loop East. According to police, the driver couldn't negotiate a sharp curve and slammed into a concrete pillar at Elysian.  The vehicle burst into flames, and both people inside died at the scene. Police were trying to pull the vehicle over for a traffic violation.
