Police investigating after chase on 45 North Freeway

HOUSTON (FOX 26) - Police are trying to determine why a driver led them on a chase Friday night.

It all started around 12:30 when a Houston police officer tried to pull over a car for a traffic violation on I-45.

That driver refused to stop, leading police on a short chase before losing control of their vehicle at Crosstimbers, crashing into the curb. 

Police are looking into whether the car, which has a California license plate, was stolen.
