From brine to fryer for chicken at Krisp Bird & Batter

Opened on Richmond Avenue near Fountain View Drive since Feb. 21, 2017, Krisp Bird & Batter offers pasture-raised chickens that are free of hormones, antibiotics and GMO feed. 

Executive chef and managing partner Ben McPherson, who has previously served as executive chef at downtown Houston restaurants such as Batanga, Prohibition and The Conservatory, introduces the fast-casual fried chicken concept with hopes of expanding to other locations.

With help from FOX 26 News contributor Cleverley Stone, Chef McPherson demonstrates how to brine and fry the boneless chicken he serves as tenders or in sandwiches.
