This is the warmest weather in years for the start of the Houston Rodeo cookoff.

Houston - The weather for the Houston area for Thursday is mostly cloudy, mild, and with a misty weather pattern. This weather will remain in place for the Rodeo Houston cookoff and carnival through this weekend. 

A brief cold front arrives Monday morning bringing a line of showers and storms followed by two days of drier air.
