Houston weather: Highs in the 80s Wednesday, some scattered showers next week

A dense fog advisory is in effect until 10 a.m. Wednesday. It will be foggy with a few drizzles Wednesday morning, then unseasonably warm with highs above 80.

Houston weather for Wednesday

More Records Broken:

Highs on Monday and Tuesday hit the mid 80s which broke daily records from the 1950s. Record highs for today are 83 in Houston and 75 for Galveston, so we'll likely get very close.

Otherwise, look for a few light showers, slightly more wind and highs again in the low 80s.

Watching Weekend Weather:

Saturday is looking very warm and humid for this time of the year. Highs could hit the mid 80s along with muggy breezes.

A cold front will get closer on Sunday and models have shown that it could stall, so temperatures will vary with cooler air to the north and muggy conditions to the south.

Rainy Next Week:

The cold front on Sunday will bring some scattered showers followed by clouds and showers on Monday.

For now, Tuesday looks to be the rainiest day with storms possible. Exact timing is still uncertain, but for now, plan on rain for Monday and Tuesday at least. So far, while temps will be cooler, no truly cold air is expected.
