Apartment fire kills man and sends woman to hospital

In the early hours of the morning, a fatal apartment fire on Deep Forest Drive in Northwest Houston left a man dead, a woman hospitalized, and two others fortunate to escape unharmed; at least two units were damaged, but the woman is expected to recover.
