Sam continues to weaken as it heads north. We are now watching a disorganized area near the Bahamas that has a 10% chance of organizing into a Tropical system.

Over the last seven days, total rainfall amounts of 6-12" were common with some areas getting even more. Well, this week will be completely different. Look for drier air (following this morning's weak front) with sunny and warm afternoons and pleasant mornings. Morning low temps should drop to the mid 60s each day with afternoon highs in the warm upper 80s, but with reasonable humidity.

Heavy rain caused serious flooding in eastern Harris County this morning with an ongoing threat for street flooding from Katy to NW Houston and out to Hempstead. Highs will be held into the low 80s, so that's nice. As far as the weekend, scattered storms are a concern again for Saturday followed by a Sunday front. Just in time to return to work and school next week, our weather looks sunny and dry.
