There will be a few showers and storms around, especially early tonight. But overall, coverage of rain tonight and the next few days will be much lower. Threat for excessive rain is decreasing and we should get more dry time for Thursday & Friday with only a 30% chance for showers and storms. Temperatures are heating up with plenty of humidity. Look for a cloudier and cooler Sunday with only isolated rain, and in general, temperatures will taper this week due to consistent rain and cloudy cover. Monday looks toasty as we should see a good dose of afternoon sunshine with a temporary decrease in clouds, Tuesday through the weekend looks particularly soggy on and off and with continuous rain by the end of the week we may need to monitor for flood potential.

Heat and humidity will hang on for the rest of the weekend with temperatures near 90 during the afternoon and plenty of humidity. Overnight lows will stay in the 70s. It will be breezy again for Sunday with wind gusts near 20 mph out of the south. Look for only isolated showers and storms tonight through Sunday with storm chances gradually increasing as we go through next week. After our hottest day of the year so far yesterday we've got another hot day on the way Saturday, where feels like values will hover near the triple digits. Despite the heat and humidity, the good news is that the weekend will be mostly dry with only isolated rain. Steamy weather has returned to southeast Texas and will be with us over the course of the next week. Morning lows won't cool below 70, and daytime highs will hover near 90 with heat indices or "feels like" values several degrees higher than that. Daily rain chances exist but do look fairly minimal until the middle of next week. Aside from that plan for Mostly cloudy nights and mornings, with some decrease in clouds each afternoon.
