Moore becomes 3rd Cowboys DL suspended by NFL

OXNARD, Calif. (AP) - A third Dallas Cowboys defensive lineman will miss the start of the season because of a suspension. The NFL said Friday that defensive end Damontre' Moore has been suspended without pay for the first two games of the regular season for violating the league's substance-abuse policy. Defensive end David Irving and defensive tackle Randy Gregory already were suspended.

Springer on disabled list for Astros, Keuchel rejoins

Astros place Correa on disabled list with torn thumb ligament

The Houston Astros have placed shortstop Carlos Correa on the 10-day disabled list with a torn ligament in his left thumb. He is expected to miss six to eight weeks. To take Correa’s spot on the active roster, the Astros recalled infielder Colin Moran from Triple A Fresno. Astros general manager Jeff Luhnow announced the transaction.
