What’s killing you?
Water bottles. New research says water bottles lead to obesity. Apparently has to do with the plastics. They end up putting chemicals in our environment that are bad for our guts. So even if you exercise and watch your diet, the chemicals are still floating around getting into you. This is all coming from a conference in Italy, where they predicted 1 in 4 people worldwide will be obese in the next 20 years.

Plastic is also killing our oceans. You've heard this for years, but we can see it in the whale that just washed up in Thailand with 80 plastic bags in his belly. The United Nations says there's going to be more plastic in our oceans than fish within 30 years. Apparently only 10 percent of all plastic ever made has been recycled, while more than 8 million tons of trash gets dumped into ocean waters every year.
If you'd like to do your part to help combat this growing issue, continue to recycle. If you don't already, the city has information on what's offered in your area. Check it out by clicking here.
