Was That Fake? - Bring Your Bible to School Day

Was That Fake?

A video posted on Facebook claims to show thousands of motorcycle riders on the road to Washington, D.C., to support Supreme Court Justice candidate Brett Kavanaugh during his testimony. The video of the large cluster of riders is real, but the caption is false. The video is from a biker rally in Paris from 2016. A political Facebook page shared the video with the false caption and it has attracted more than two million views.

Did President Donald Trump declare Oct. 4 as Bring Your Bible to School Day? A Facebook post with that claim has been shared more than 200,000 times. Oct. 4 was declared Bring Your Bible To School Day but not by the President. The Christian group called Focus on Family has been observing that day each year since 2014. There is no evidence that the President ever commented or endorsed that day.
Are you even allowed to bring a bible to school? Yes, religious texts are absolutely allowed for students since banning them would be a free speech violation, but teachers cannot participate since they are government employees. School rules still apply so a teacher may tell you to put it away during class, just like any other personal item.
