Google's camera phone is getting praised over the Apple iPhone, at least by critics who take a lot of night photos. The Pixel model phones take dramatically better photos in the dark without adding to the cost of the devices or changing the hardware since it  just requires a software update. You don't have to buy the newest Google Pixel phone to get the feature since the update will be available for all the Pixel models.

You can save money by streaming movies on your phone instead of your television. Netflix is testing a mobile-only plan for half the price but only for international markets initially where mobile is the primary entertainment tool for most people.

You can talk to the microwave oven and it will respond to your commands. If you have a technophile on your Christmas list, the Amazon Alexa microwave oven is only $60 and is controlled your your Echo smart device. People who have tested it say it's not game-changing, but did say that it was nice to be able to yell, "Alexa, stop!" from across the room before the popcorn burns.

In her video announcement, Dion describes how parents are only one of many players in a child's life. She apparently personally steers clear of gender stereotypes for her twin 8-year old boys.
