There was a picture today of two of the most followed celebs on Twitter, President Trump and Kim Kardashian, together.

Like how Sly Stallone helped talk the president into granting a Galveston boxer a pardon, Kim is trying to do the same for a woman who's been behind bars for 20 years.

It all started with a tweet. Kim Kardashian saw a video from Mic and shared it with her 60 million followers, calling it "so unfair".

The story of Alice Marie Johnson’s downfall started back in the mid-90's. Johnson says her son had just died, husband left her, and she couldn't find a job, so she filed for bankruptcy.

She turned to drugs—becoming what prosecutors called a middle man for a multi-million dollar cocaine ring, responsible for pushing 3,000 grams of coke into the Memphis community.

More than 10 people from her crew flipped on her in exchange for lighter sentences—earning the great-grandmother a sentence of life without parole.

This was her first-ever criminal offense, and it was non-violent. So people like Kim feel she didn't deserve the punishment she was dealt.

Kim Kardashi pulled in her personal lawyer to help, and now the president.

She reached out to his son-in-law Jared Kushner and for months she's been working with him and Ivanka to get a meeting with our commander-in-chief.

What many people want is for Johnson to be pardoned.

Kim apparently really enjoyed working on this. So much so that she says she'd rather be spending money getting people out of jail than on fancy designer clothes.
