Reward offered in murder of soldier's wife on Georgia military base

FORT STEWART, Ga. - Authorities are offering a reward of up to $20,000 for any information that can help solve the murder of the wife of a soldier at a Georgia military base.

The Army Criminal Investigation Command and the FBI said that military police found 24-year-old Abree Boykin dead in her home at Fort Stewart at 8:45 on the night of July 10. Boykin's husband was deployed to Afghanistan at the time of her death.

“We are seeking the public’s assistance and asking for them to come forward with any and all information they may have regarding this investigation,” a spokesman for Army CID Chris Grey said. “We are asking for them to do the right thing and contact us if they have any information whatsoever, regardless of how trivial they may think that information is.”

Officials are also looking for Boykin's car, a 2018 black Honda Accord with Georgia license RLQ1762, which was missing from her home when her body was discovered.

Grey said that Boykin possibly knew her assailant.

“We have no reason or evidence to believe that the Fort Stewart community is at further risk related to this tragic death,” he said.
