Rapper YG dedicates first-ever Coachella performance to friend, rapper Nipsey Hussle
INDIO, Calif. - Rapper YG dedicated his first-ever Coachella performance to Nipsey Hussle on Sunday.
The California-based rapper performed in front of photos of the Grammy-nominated rapper, whose real name is Ermias Asghedom, and dedicated a moment of silence to him.
“We lost one of the greats. A legend. Black Jesus – yeah, I said it,” YG said. “I’m going to dedicate this whole motherf***ing show to my Nipsey Hussle.”
YG was an honorary pallbearer at Hussle’s funeral at the Staples Center on April 11, and said during a tribute to Hussle that he was like a brother to him.
The rapper says he has postponed the release of his new music in honor of Hussle.
