Parents warned of disturbing YouTube videos tricking children

Parents are being warned of YouTube videos that are disguised as kid-friendly cartoons but are turning out to be highly inappropriate.

The BBC investigated several YouTube videos that look like children's cartoons, but they contained violent or terrifying imagery. It found several channels dedicated to that kind of content—some with millions of views.

Everything from Peppa Pig to the Disney movie Frozen has been tainted with inappropriate material.

To avoid your kids watching these videos, YouTube has a Kids app that filters out most, but not all of the disturbing videos.
