October 9 is the last day to register to vote in November’s midterm election in Texas.
Last month, Texas hit a record high for the number of registered voters with 15.6 million—an increase of 11 percent since the last midterm election.
Probably the most hotly-contested race in the country is the senatorial showdown between Ted Cruz and Beto O'Rourke. Dallas County is reporting 200,000 more voters this year than in 2014.
On the Factor with information on how to register to vote is Harris County Clerk Stan Stanart.
