Man shot to death outside southwest Houston strip center

We're following a developing story out of southwest Houston this evening where a man was shot and killed near a strip mall, and the suspects remain on the loose.

It was a deadly afternoon here at this strip mall on Wilcrest Drive as a man was ambushed while sitting inside his vehicle. The suspects responsible remain at large.

HPD tells us the incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m. Saturday afternoon.

The victim, a black male, was sitting in the drivers seat of his silver JEEP SUV when, according to witnesses, two vehicles pulled up and the victim was shot multiple times.

He died from his injuries at the scene.

Several business cards where found scattered at the crime scene, but investigators aren't sure if there's a connection to the shooting.

There were several gunmen involved, and they were able to flee the scene, however, there have been conflicting witness accounts of what happened. P

Police are now reviewing surveillance video they obtained from local businesses.
