Man dies after diving off Lake Conroe boat dock

LAKE CONROE, Texas (FOX 26) - A man died after diving off the end of a dock at Lake Conroe, authorities say. Montgomery County Fire Boat 94 along with Montgomery County Precinct 1 Lake Patrol responded to a report at around 5:30 p.m. that a man had not resurfaced after going underwater at the FM 830 boat ramp.

Crews quickly spotted what appeared to be the victim on sonar and a dive team recovered a body of a Hispanic male after an hour, officials say. Witnesses say the man dove off the dock and resurfaced for a moment before going back underwater and not resurfacing.
