Houston weather: Kroger changes store hours due to inclement weather

HOUSTON - Due to inclement weather, Kroger has announced all stores in the Houston area will close early on Tuesday and reopen later on Wednesday.

What we know:
The Houston-area stores will close at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 21.
They will reopen at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 22.
Normal hours for most Kroger locations are from 6 a.m. until 11 p.m.
The pharmacy hours will vary by location. Click here to find your location and check the hours.
What we don't know:
Kroger officials did not mention scheduling for employees.
Employees are urged to contact their direct supervisor for information.

With snow and ice in the forecast, several Houston area school districts will be closed on Wednesday.

The snow has wound down on Tuesday, but the cold temperatures will stick around.
Temperatures are going to climb above freezing for most of our area later on Tuesday.
The snow that has fallen could melt later today and then re-freeze overnight as temperatures plunge back below freezing.
That means there could be black ice on the roads on Wednesday morning.
