Houston Texans' Derek Stingley Jr. Named AP First Team All-Pro

Houston Texans cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. has been named to the Associated Press First Team All-Pro, the AP announced today. This marks Stingley's first selection to the prestigious team.

Stingley, who started all 17 games this season, achieved career-high numbers across multiple categories. He recorded 54 total tackles, 18 passes defensed, and four tackles for loss. Additionally, he secured five interceptions for the second consecutive season.

With this honor, Stingley becomes the first cornerback in Texans franchise history to be named to the AP All-Pro First Team. He joins J.J. Watt as one of only two defensive players from the team to receive this accolade. Stingley is also the first Texan to earn the award since wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins in 2019.
