Houston leads state in number of people living with AIDS, HIV
Remember aids and HIV? Well if you have forgotten about the deadly virus, it certainly hasn't forgotten about you.
Houston leads the state of Texas with the number of people who are living with HIV and AIDS. That means if people aren't practicing safe sex, the threat is still very real.
The Legacy Center puts the number at 2,200 people in Houston who are living with HIV and AIDS. We're ranked 12th in the nation for the number of new cases. See how serious this issue still remains? Don’t forget African Americans and Hispanics make up a large number of the cases.
