Hemp no longer classified as controlled substance in Texas

Sales of CBD is big business and it is about to become even greater in Texas with hemp removed from the list of controlled substances in Texas following the passage of the 2018 farm bill.

The federal government also removed hemp from the controlled substances list. CBD is extracted from the flowers and leaves of hemp plants.

While hemp is part of the cannabis plant family, it is naturally low in THC, the extract that leaves users feeling high. But what does this mean for the growing CBD sector?
