Harris County deputies find shooting victim in backyard

HARRIS COUNTY, Texas - The Harris County Sheriff's Office said they are investigating after a man was found dead in the backyard of a home in a west Harris County neighborhood Saturday morning.
Deputies responded to Galleon Field Lane in the Cypress Twin Subdivision around 10:45 a.m. Saturday for an "unknown medical emergency."
That's when they said they found a man in the backyard of a home that had been shot in his upper body.
Deputies said they had went to the neighborhood around 11 p.m. Friday after reports of gunshots in the neighborhood but were unable to any shell casings or victims.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by Cypress Creek EMS.
The man has not yet been identified.
Deputies are asking anyone with information or surveillance video in the neighborhood to contact the sheriff's office at 713-274-9100.
