An 18-year-old is dead and a 17-year-old suffered critical gunshot wounds after a case of road rage. According to Harris County Sheriff's Office deputies, a 15-year-old was driving with the two teens. She drove up behind a slow-moving sport utility vehicle, then pulled up alongside it, and words were exchanged. At some point, her 18-year-old passenger pulled out a gun and pointed it at the driver of the SUV.

The southbound lanes of the 610 Loop are closing at 9 p.m. Friday on the Woodway exit. They will remain closed until 5 a.m. Monday.

A judge has imposed the largest ever sanctions on Harris County Child Protective Services, after a case worker and his supervisor lied under oath to take two children away from their parents without a proper investigation.
